New Landscapes for 2018

Two of my new ceramic landscapes , inspired by favourite places in Derbyshire…

The first, The Red Tree ,depicts a view from Starkholmes, Matlock which I photographed and sketched last Autumn. This solitary tree perches on top of a particularly curvy little hill with the dramatic backdrop of Matlock Bath in the background.

The second landscape was undertaken this earlier this Summer in response to a suggestion that I record the progress of a piece from start to finish. The process takes approximately 6 weeks. The photographs and commentary are currently on my Facebook page Zoe Marsh Artist.
